Jackson Pollock

~Artists in Society..~

Artist Right Society
A country that loves art, not artists
In a survey of attitudes toward artists in the US a vast majority of Americans, 96%, said they were greatly inspired by various kinds of art and highly value art in their lives and communities. But the data suggests a strange paradox.

While Americans value art, the end product, they do not value what artists do.

~Art and Film~

Children of Men!
Directed by Ralph Curon, this scene shows guernica by Picasso. Guernica shows the tragedies of war and the suffering it inflicts upon individuals, particularly innocent civilians. This monumental work has gained a monumental status, becoming a perpetual reminder of the tragedies of war, an anti-war symbol, and an embodiment of peace.

~Art to me is....~

I know what art is because everytime i look at my top three favorite artist, like Jackson Pollack, or Salvador Dali, they all have what i want, to be free withwhat i want in life.

~Art Education, A MUST! ~

~ArT EdUcAtIoN~
Art education will never become a t past time because art is the past, art is the present and future. Kids need an outlet, and art was my outlet from just getting away from stress and just doing what i was doing, and that was painting. A strong arts education promotes the skills children need to be successful. Exposure to art education promotes self-directed learning, improves school attendance and sharpens critical and creative skills. In fact, several recent studies have concluded that the creativity and innovation utilized in the artistic process will be highly valued by employers in the United States in the coming years as we continue to shift into a global economy.
